Ruff night.

The patient had a ruff night. Sleeping setting up is not easy. Thank you all for the prayers and phone calls. She just had lunch and is trying to take a nap if the children will leave her alone. She goes to therapy tomorrow and back to the Doc in thursday. will post updates latter.

The shoulder was not as bad as first seen in the mri. The surgeon was expecting a ruff time. He actually had a second surgeon standing by to help him. They shaved some bone spurs and repaired three tendons. The Doc was pleased with his work.

Sorry to hear she had a rough night but glad to hear the shoulder wasn't as bad as first feared. Make sure she takes her pain meds on schedule.

I'll be thinking of her for PT tomorrow too...they don't call them physical terrorists for nothing.

She needs extra pampering while she recovers from this!

Please tell Cheryl that I said Howdy, and I hope she recovers soon in her therapy.  Sounds like things went well, I know she was very concerned about how it would go.  And we know youre taking good care of her!

Sorry to hear the first night was not a great one, but it is exciting to hear that it wasn't as bad as they thought it was!  Hopefully that means a quicker and easier recovery!

Please give her a gentle hug from me!

Phil, Sorry, I was off the puter most of yesterday and today, and didn't really get a chance to check OH.  I am so glad the surgery went well and the problem was less than the surgeon originally thought.  Do you have a recliner?  Ron padded ours up really good with an eggcrate mattress under a sheet and I slept in it for MONTHS! Infact, I just started sleeping back in our bed.  If you don't have one, if might be worth renting one of the electric ones from a medical supply company on a month by month basis because it is going to be miserable without it.  I hope you feels better tonight, but I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't.  The block still hangs around for about 36 hours.  Ya'll are in my thoughts and prayers.
